After Cumbria Police revealed that a total of 35,039 speeding offences were recorded in the county in 2019-20, News & Star readers have had their say. The figures come the Home Office from the RAC Foundation, and show that while shocking, the previous year had 13 per cent more recorded speeding offences, with a toal of 41,104 logged. The number of people caught breaking the speed limit across England and Wales hit 2.6 million in 2019-20. And many News & Star readers are appalled by the figures.
