Spring’s around the corner and so is planting season, a perfect recipe for feeling good about life.
And to celebrate, a group of Canadian farmers has recently launched a special national healthy eating initiative outlining the new farming practice of regenerative farming – a holistic yet science-backed approach to farming that is deeply rooted in ancient Indigenous knowledge and understanding of the earth beneath our feet.

The idea for regenerative farming is based on “reviving the soil,” or what the farmers call the “foundation of life,” with techniques that “mimic nature to foster ecosystem health,” according to a recent release. This includes everything from agroforestry, biodiversity, integrating livestock and better water management, to name just a few changes.
