Trucks For Smiles 12:06 am This year, the Trucks for Smiles event at the Somerset County Fairgrounds is more than just about raising money for the Make-A-Wish foundation but also remembering one of the event’s organizers who passed away in November. The seventh annual Trucks for Smiles event was a bittersweet one. “The past year, dad passed away.” Mark Friedline who began this annual tradition seven years ago passed away from COVID-19 last year. “This year, we’re trying to make it bigger and better just for him and keep it going for many years to come.” The event most popular for its truck convoy has raised over 217-thousand dollars for Make-A-Wish and over 45 children have had their wishes granted because of it.
