COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – The Coldwater lady Cardinal gymnastics team had their home opener Wednesday night in a double dual meet against Monroe High School and Ann Arbor Skyline High School. Coldwater won both matchups with a team Regional qualifying score of 132.925. Monroe was second with over 124 points, followed by Ann Arbor Skyline at 26.425.
The Cardinal home opener each year is dedicated as the Jillian Crist Memorial meet. Even though COVID-19 protocols made things a bit different this year, the gymnasts still collected more than two dozen bottles of ketchup to donate to the food pantry in her honor.  Announcer Mark Crist and his wife Louise were on hand to award two gymnasts the Miss ConâJillyâlity award as a thank you to the team for keeping Jillian’s memory alive.
