The Pleasant Valley High football team headed out to Southern California on Thursday morning for a trip the Vikings hope will culminate in a state championship.
PV (10-3), the winners of the NorCal Regional final, will travel to El Camino College to face the winner of the SoCal Regional final Ramona (10-5) at 8 p.m. Friday night in Torrance. Propelled by Lucas Benson’s four touchdowns, the No. 2-seeded Vikings took down third-seeded Shasta 43-29 in the Northern Section Division II semifinal at Asgard Yard.
