Motorcyclist taken to hospital after crash involving car near Kirkby-in-Ashfield

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital following a crash in Nottinghamshire.
A section of Derby Road A611 was closed near Kirkby-in-Ashfield after the incident involving a car and a motorbike at around 7.30am on Tuesday morning (June 1).
The motorcyclist was taken to Queen s Medical Centre with injuries not thought to be life threatening.
The main road had to be closed in both directions between Diamond Avenue (B6020) and Balls Lane for roughly two hours.
Sergeant Mark Botham, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers were called at 7.33am today (Tuesday 1 June 2021) to a report of a collision between a car and a motorbike on the A611 Derby Road near Annesley.
