For one of the liveliest little music venues around it’s ironic that the Market Tavern in Kidderminster should be associated with the Humdrum. The pub was legendary in the 1990s on the small venue circuit, and one of its claims to fame is that it s where BBC 6 music favourite Ian Passey – aka The Humdrum Express – ‘cut his musical teeth.’
The book on the Market Tavern Now an online event is planned to recall the Market Tavern’s heyday and Kidderminster singer/songwriter Ian, who has five albums to his name, will make a special appearance to perform a couple of acoustic songs.
