Grants to local K-12 schools help address technology needs Star Press, Muncie Star Press © Photo provided Muncie Community Schools was one of eight public school districts to receive funding through the K-12 School Technology Resilience Initiative. Student connectivity was addressed through grant funding to MCS. MUNCIE, Ind. Eight K-12 public schools in Delaware County received a total of $182,000 in the third phase of the K-12 School Technology Resilience Initiative. The initiative supports longer-term and equitable solutions for technology resilience for students and schools, according to a release. The initiative kicked off in June with the support of the Funders Forum Collaborative, a group of funders across Delaware County convened by the Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County.

New Year’s will take on special meaning this year as we joyfully witness the passing of this monstrous annum. It’s not that our problems will evaporate on Jan. 1, but the New Year holiday does offer a date of symbolic renewal. The end of the year is also a time to register blessings. I’m thankful for my family’s good health and that I’m still employed. I’m also deeply grateful for our community’s vast network of greenspaces and trails, which preserved my sanity these past 10 months.
