Norris to chair Prosperity Project The South Island Prosperity Project, which replaced the Greater Victoria Development Agency in 2016, has announced a new board of directors. The project, which includes of 10 of the region’s municipalities, two First Nations, three post-secondary institutions, and private companies and non-profit organizations, has named Craig Norris as its board chair. Frank Bourree is the vice- chair and Sean Midwood is the secretary/treasurer. The directors are Ray Brougham, Deirdre Campbell, Jacques van Campen, Christina Clarke, Jill Doucette and Pedro Marquez.

The North Island Employment Foundations Society and the City of Campbell River Forestry Task Force have joined forces for the event that will highlight forestry careers and the benefits of the industry.
