It is a world war ii unit that fought in italy, Southern France. It is a largely forgotten unit. It was a small unit. It numbered about 2500 men throughout the war. It was comprised of three smaller units. The 596 Airborne Company and and the 460th. Those three units maybe Regimental Combat Team. The higher army command would attack units where they were needed as they were needed. We are representing them during their time in the autumn of 1944. That was in the south of france and the french alps near the italian border where they were protecting the right flank. That came from the invasion of Southern France.
