Centring the voices of Indigenous youth is imperative in moving towards reconciliation in Edmonton’s youth services sector and the city as a whole. I am a white, cisgender woman living on Treaty Six territory and call Edmonton my home. As a social worker, I’ve made reconciliation a focus in both my personal and professional life for many years, with centring Indigenous voices at the forefront of this work.
