HURON – Pierre Governor Track and Field had five individual winners Friday in the team’s first outdoor meet of the season, the Huron Invitational.

Pierre finished third overall in the team standings with 114 points.
Jessica Lutmer took her second win of the season in the 1600 meters, finishing in 5:33.12, just over six-tenths of a second better than Melanie Jacobs of Aberdeen Central. Brianna Sargent finished sixth and Jazzlyn Rombough was ninth.
Ryann Barry won the high jump. Barry was the only competitor to clear five feet.
Cameron Larson had an eighth-place finish in the 100 meters. Aleise Christipherson was second in the 200 meters, finishing just 25-hundredths of a second behind Taryn Hettich of Aberdeen Central. Barry was eighth.

PIERRE – Pierre Governor Gymnastics finished seventh of 10 teams Saturday at the Pierre Invitational at the Riggs High Gym. Pierre had 129.700 points. Mitchell won the event with 143.175.
