Michelline Nawatises Roza Johannes was born and raised at Ondangwa in the Oshana Region. She grew up in a loving home with her parents and siblings. Years later her parents sent her to boarding school. “I passed grade 12 with flying colours. I was then, accepted at the University of Namibia ,which was the greatest accomplishment in my life,” she says. Johannes holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with industrial psychology and sociology as majors. A year ago, she was excited when the opportunity of becoming a financial adviser presented itself to her. “I grabbed it with both hands. I felt like I was finally getting my life together. I was finally going to become independent and not just counting on my parents for everything,” she says.

Monique Adams One thing the year 2020 has blessed us with is upcoming food businesses that started providing reliable, innovative and convenient services during the Covid-19 lockdown when restaurants were closed. One such business is Keni & Kandy’s Kitchen, established at the beginning of 2020 by Yoolokeni Mugaba and Ericah Kandy Nawinda. They cater for private and corporate events, no matter how big or how small. They also do home and street braais. “Keni & Kandy’s Kitchen was actually birthed at a street braai. It was on a cold winter morning that Keni and I decided to host a braai at a friend’s pub. It was extremely successful and from that day onwards we didn’t stop.
