SEATTLE, WA – Alaska Air Group Inc. has appointed Marion C. Blakey to the company’s board of directors. She will serve on the safety and audit committees of board.
Blakey, president and chief executive officer of the Aerospace Industries Association, represents the nation’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of civil, military, and business aircraft and related components, equipment services, and information technology. Before joining the association in 2007, she served a five-year term as administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration. Blakey also served as chairman of the National Transportation Safety Board before her FAA appointment.
