MARION The Marion Scholarship Committee has opened applications for graduating seniors planning to attend college in the fall to apply for the Marion Scholarship Fund.
The scholarship which is funded directly by Marion residents will give out varying amounts depending on the funding received by residents.
More information on the scholarship can be found by contacting Marion residents’ guidance counselors.
Those interested in donating to the scholarship fund may mail donations to the Scholarship Committee, Town of Marion, 2 Spring Street, Marion, MA 02738, attention Scholarship Fund.
The Marion Scholarship Committee thanks residents who have supported the scholarship in the past and hope to support many more graduates with their college education.

MARION, OH – A scholarship fund created as a Christmas gift is one of ten new funds which will support Marion area students this spring. The Elgin High School Wider Horizons Scholarship was created by family members of an appreciative Elgin alumna who wants to use this unique Christmas gift to support and encourage the educational pursuits of students with “a natural curiosity about all facets of the world and who desire to educate themselves broadly.”
The Elgin Wider Horizons Scholarship acknowledges the quality education available at Elgin High School and, especially, teachers Eunice Waber, Max Griffith, and Carroll Neidhardt. These faculty members, according to the fund creator who wishes to remain anonymous, taught by example that “education is not only important in preparing and qualifying students to perform interesting work that contributes to our communities, but that an unceasing desire to pursue and integrate knowledge also expands and shades one’s

The Marion Scholarship and Education Committee is offering a scholarship to high school students who will graduate in 2021.
Applicants must live in Marion, be in good academic standing, and accepted at a recognized college for the fall of 2021.
Application requirements and deadline information can be obtained through the college counseling office at students’ high school.

MARION, OH – Marion Community Foundation’s 2021 Scholarship Program is making its online application available early for area high school seniors and graduates. The Foundation’s scholarship program includes more than 130 funds and will award more than $400,000 to area students for the 2021-22 academic year.
“We were pleased to have conducted last year’s scholarship program right on schedule, despite the challenges of the pandemic,” said Marion Community Foundation Vice President Julie Prettyman, who coordinates the Scholarship Program. “We hope that by opening the application early, it helps this year’s students and they can use winter break to get a jump start on their applications.”
