Major players bid for chance to build US Marine Corps’ next recon vehicle May 4 U.S. Marines drive to a checkpoint during Cold Response 14, a multinational exercise in northern Norway. The service wants to replace the LAV-25 with a new advanced reconnaissance vehicle. Incumbent General Dynamics Land Systems which is the manufacturer of the Light Armored Vehicle-25 currently in service announced it submitted an advanced reconnaissance vehicle, or ARV, prototype proposal by the Marine Corps’ May 3 deadline.
