Local artist Marina Clunie was a busy athletic person who always had a love for creating and sewing from a young age.
According to Clunie many years ago there was a lot of certainty about finding a job in the art industry and she had to take commercial subjects in high school.
As the years went by Clunie got married, had her children and grandchildren, but her desire and passion for art never died. “I had a need to paint the sea, boats and cloudy skies.”
With her children living their lives and out of the house, Clunie’s season to follow her passion finally arrived. Clunie now owns the studio-gallery River Studio in Bokkom Avenue, Velddrif.
