An abandoned train track could be transformed into a 307-mile hiking, cycling and horseback pathway through California's remote North Coast, along the Eel River and towns such as Fortuna.
Wednesday, the Great Redwood Trail Agency released a master plan to turn the former North Coast Railroad Authority corridor into a massive stretch of trail. Once completed, it would run from the San Francisco Bay Area to Blue Lake at 307 miles.
