Stephen Augustus ‘Steve’ Zandy
BURGAW Stephen Augustus “Steve” Zandy, 67, passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare, Wilmington.
Steve was born Jan. 18, 1953, in Burgaw to Lottie Ramsey Zandy and August Lewis Zandy. He graduated from Burgaw High School in 1972 and UNC Chapel Hill in 1978.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Zandy.
Steve is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Tommy and Julia Zandy of Burgaw; sister, Jean Zandy Fidler of Lancaster, Pennsylvania; sister-in-law, Marilyn Zandy of Hickory; nephew, four nieces, several great-nieces and great-nephews; and special friend of 20-plus years, Stuart Goldman of Castleberry, Florida.
