To better protect children from the Covid-19 virus in the new normal, the Marikina City local government will be holding a "Bakunahang Bayan" vaccination drive aimed at the pediatric population aged five to 11 years old from Monday, Dec. 5 to Wednesday, Dec. 7.

The Marikina City local government announced that the scheduled Covid-19 vaccination at the Marikina Sports Center in the morning of Friday, Aug. 5, was cancelled but the afternoon schedule will push through from 1-5 p.m.

"Ang secret ng resiliency ng Marikina is the partnership between the government and the citizens of Marikina,” said Dave C. David, the chief of the city’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO) in a conference for multiple climate stakeholders on Saturday, June 25.
