WESTERN CAPE NEWS - The Western Cape Blood Service (WCBS) is experiencing a critical blood shortage in the O blood group and B+ blood group and it is appealing to all eligible donors to donate blood. We always aim to have a blood supply of five days. Currently there is a critical shortage in the O blood groups as well as the B+ blood group, said Marike Gevers, public relations manager at WCBS, in a media release last week.
Gevers said blood stocks tend to decline during winter months as people suffer from colds and flu and consequently cannot donate blood.

GARDEN ROUTE | KAROO NEWS - The Western Cape Blood Service (WCBS) is appealing to all eligible donors to donate blood as blood stocks are critically low.
