Last weekend, Villanova’s chapter of the Philadelphia Justice Project (PJP) attended the Innocence Network’s 20th annual conference in Phoenix, Arizona. Fifteen students from the chapter left Villanova for the conference on Thursday morning and returned on Sunday morning. These students were led by chapter president Ajée Robinson and organization founder Dr. Jill McCorkel. The Innocence.
there were no injuries to occupants in these buildings or firefighters that were fighting it. there were 50 pieces of equipment on this fire as it was a five-alarm fire. streets we remain blocked off, east baltimore, east fayette at a standstill. witnesses say, like i said earlier they couldn t even see downtown. though it s calmed down now the fire department says they will be here all night. we just got a briefing from the mayor and the chief. at this point we believe we have the fire pretty much knocked down. we do still have a little fire in the 404 and 406 buildings. we re bringing water from the outside. at some point we re going to go in and finish the job. we ll be here all night. we ll have several streets downtown that will be closed for several hours. as the chief said we ll be here all night. this is a tremendous fire and it s more than just a fire that caused the damage. there was a lot of water that was used in order to create a sheet so that fire didn t spr
