Reports/Washington County ¯ A sergeant investigated a dog belonging to Thomas Hinkle, 606 Seventh St., Marietta, March 23 that had gotten loose from his property. The dog was in a fenced yard but was able to jump the fence. The dog charged at a child that was walking with the parent, and caused injury that resulted in serious physical harm. Hinkle, 29, was summoned into Marietta Municipal Court on a charge of failing to restrain his dog. ¯ A deputy met with Cutler resident Jeffrey Wear on March 25 to conduct an investigation into the burglary at his residence.
