Enterprising students go to market

Transition Year students at Gorey Community School have been busy developing their entrepreneurial skills, researching project action plans and marketing surveys as part of the launch their mini company products. Most recently they got out into the community and ran stalls at the House of Artisan market in Gorey which is located on St Michael s Road. TY co-ordinator Marie O Grady said that despite some of the limitations imposed by Covid-19 restrictions, students in TY programme have managed well in overcoming these challenges. In safe and creative ways students have sourced, assembled and delivered an eclectic variety of useful, inspiring and competitively priced products which are on sale during the month of December, she said.
