Summer exhibits filled with vibrant works are still on display and new exhibits are entering the scene that demonstrate a broad swath of depth, from techniques that have been carefully developed by individual artists, to curated versions of selected works that adhere to traditional genres while stretching their expression, be they landscapes, portraiture or abstract expression.
Accomplished artists are prepared to share the secrets of their work. Between gallery stops, there are numerous places to treat yourself to ice cream and other summer delights downtown and in West Annapolis. Check listings carefully as there are art talks and demonstrations on other days. Beat the heat and enjoy a mini-escape into the artists’ worlds.
