Man sentenced to 1 year for disarming police officer

Courtesy of the Guam Police Department Ieremia Fagavao was sentenced to serve a year in prison in connection to an incident where Fagavao attempted to disarm a Guam Police Department Officer in May. Fagavao entered a plea of guilty for the charges of reckless conduct and family violence both as misdemeanors before Judge Maria T. Cenzon at the Superior Court of Guam. The victim of the family violence charge was present at the hearing via phone line and indicated that she is allowing Fagavao to contact her. Cenzon ordered that Fagavao cannot harm, or harass, the victim in any way.
