totally destroyed by the wildfire in the sierra nevada foothills area and thousands of others are at risk. rain could give the firefighters much needed help. we need to hear the forecast. maria molina is tracking the weather for us. we really need the rain out west. we have fires burning across places like california, washington state, oregon and even into monday cana and parts of idaho. we need the rain and cooler temperatures. that s what is in the forecast later today across many of the areas. i want to take a look further into time as we head into this weekend we are looking at a return to dry weather and also hot conditions. that will not be welcome news. we have our storm system bringing in areas of rain. especially for people who live in the east. out west the soil is different
