369th Infantry Regiment, New York Army National Guard which fought as part of the all Black
93rd Infantry Division in the
First World War. This is a modified version on one I posted here in 2018, but it has particular significance because the
369th Sustainment Brigade of the
New York Army National Guard was officially allowed to take the nickname of the
369th Infantry Regiment, the “Harlem Hellfighters.” It was something that needed to be done for many years.
