Together from the Charter School where that alleged attack happened on that girl nearly a week ago. The school claims it learned after that arrest that almost none of the schools employees had been fingerprinted or had their backgrounds checked. Ian is live in the news room. Ian, some of these people were fired. Thats right. And no one on the schoolboard would say why, citing its a confidential personnel matter. All three of the employees fired, including the suspect, jonathan chou, were assistants at the school. The decision what is announced at the sparks schoolboard meeting tonight. Parents there upset more wasnt done to protect their kids. I was shocked. And then i was angry. Im angry because the school didnt communicate to us that they didnt do background checks, they didnt communicate to us that fingerprinting wasnt done. The board addressed the status of School Employee background checks tonight. The principal says all of them are now in and the county will review them tomorrow.

And and i chose to take care of my children to make sure that they stayed in school and my daughter stayed in college. And i did not choose to take care of myself. So the baby who they do have Supportive Housing in there with a case manager and i am very glad to have had that when i arrived there that it took time before i got to know my case manager and stuff like that. But when people are homeless and stuff, we go through a lot of stuff. And my children have to go through all of that trauma stuff, and being to choose to take care of my children well and a lot of you know me from the
And there is sometimes three or four families that can barely make the ends meet and the people that put the food on your plate that are living there and the people who are cleaning this place, and cleaning the whole city, are living there and they can cant even afford to eat, and they cant afford to have their children. And have a safe place to live and even when the departments get involved, to put pressure on these land lords there is no changes and families are working hard to have a living, you have people that are willing to work and organizers and that are willing to help this crisis of homeless families and you have, you have you can help us with that. You have our responsibility and you can also do something about it.
