Dec. 16 It’s not that Anna Maria Mendieta wasn’t aware of music’s role in the health and well-being of the world before the pandemic.
But now? Any chance at bringing her talents to the masses is precious for the Vallejo Symphony Orchestra harpist.
“What’s happening with COVID has turned the entertainment industry upside down,” Mendieta said. “In some respects, I think that, my goodness, for many of us it’s opened up a whole different perspective of what it means to perform and what it means to engage with audiences abroad.”
