This story is about a 62-year-old former Maroochydore station cop whose career service included being a detective in the then juvenile aid bureau investigating child abuse and juvenile crime, Adopt-a-Cop in Brisbane and Sunshine Coast schools, blue light disco coordinator and school-based police officer.
From positive contact with young people and students in schools, he developed a dream of becoming a teacher but kept telling himself and others that he couldnât do it because âhe was too old and too dumb to study at universityâ.
