WEIRTON An effort by one local high school student resulted in the collection of more than 80 boxes of new and used clothing to assist residents in Texas. Now additional help is needed to get the donations there.
Anna Backel, a student at Weirton Madonna, said she learned of growing needs for residents of the Lone Star State following the February snow and ice storm which resulted in mass power outages throughout Texas.
