Directors of Margaritaville Turks Limited are betting on the rollout of vaccination programmes in source markets as a means to revive the cruise industry that has shuttered because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
The company is a subsidiary of Margaritaville Caribbean Ltd., owners and franchise operators of Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville with locations throughout the Caribbean. The company is located on the Grand Turk Cruise Center, Turks and Caicos Islands.
In its heyday, the port in the island group welcomed in the region of one million passengers annually. Clients at the port include Carnival Corporation, the world’s largest cruise operator, which operates cruise lines including Carnival Cruises, Princess Cruises, AIDA Cruises, Costa Cruises and Holland America.
