Of the seventeen women in Florida who have been sentenced to death, only two have actually been executed according to the Florida Department of Corrections. The earliest account of a woman being sentenced to death dates back to 1926 when a woman was sentenced for killing her husband.

A 55-year-old Easton woman who was allegedly selling crystal methamphetamine was arrested Wednesday morning in a drug raid in the 600 block of Northampton Street in the city.
Several controlled buys were done from Margaret A. Allen, who was living in an apartment at 607 Northampton, city police said in court papers.
