EASTPOINTE The city of Eastpointe is considering an ordinance that would allow it to give out a certain number of recreational marijuana licenses. While some residents have shown support, many have attended City Council meetings to voice their opposition to the ordinance.
The Eastpointe City Council has asked City Attorney Richard Albright to draft an ordinance that would allow recreational marijuana businesses n the city.
More than 60 people gathered at DeRonne Hardware in Eastpointe Tuesday morning to protest a lane reduction plan for Nine Mile Road that was approved by the City Council at its Feb. 6 meeting.
