An autopsy performed Monday preliminarily showed Hughes died from multiple blunt force injuries sustained in the incident.
The death is under investigation by Springfield Police and the Sangamon County Coroner.
Allmon identified Margaret Knoepfle, 86, of Springfield as the person involved in a single-vehicle crash at South Grand Avenue and MacArthur Boulevard in Springfield on Friday.
Knoepfle died as an inpatient at Memorial early Sunday morning.
The crash is under investigation.

Three people have died of injuries they suffered in three separate accidents in recent days.
A crash Friday at South Grand and MacArthur has taken the life of 86-year-old Margaret Knoepfle of Springfield. She died Sunday at Memorial Medical Center from injuries suffered in the wreck.
Two other accidents on Sunday also resulted in fatalities. 52-year-old Timothy Hughes of Springfield was killed Sunday night when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a vehicle on the South Sixth Street Frontage Road. And an accident in rural Menard County has taken the life of 73-year-old Loy McCart of Athens. There was no immediate word about citations in any of those accidents.
