Cop has a narrow escape as kite string injures neck
The incident happened when 41-year-old Assistant Police Inspector was riding his bike on the JJ flyover in Mumbai on Saturday
A 41-year-old Assistant Police Inspector (API) received a deep cut in his neck after a manja (kite string) slashed his neck when the officer was riding his bike on the JJ flyover on Saturday. Following the incident was reported to the police, the MRA Marg Police registered an offence against an unknown person.
The incident took place on Saturday afternoon when API Rakesh Gavali attached to the Worli Police Station was returning from sessions court. As soon as he climbed the JJ Flyover on his bike he felt a burning sensation in his neck and soon it started bleeding and soon the cop realised that he received a cut to due to the kite string.

Mumbai (Mahrashtra) [India], January 2 (ANI): Bombay High Court has directed Mumbai Police to look into the threat perception of an ex-serviceman who claimed to have been threatened by a Shiv Sena Corporator for opposing illegal construction at his plot.
Sujit Gajanan Apte is an ex-Army man who resides in Wadala area of Mumbai. He has filed a plea before Bombay HC and has requested to direct Mumbai Police to file an FIR on his complaint in RAK Marg Police Station and provide him with police security as he apprehends that Shiv Sena Corporater Amey Ghole may harm him for opposing encroachment on his property.
