They actually used a cell phone ping to locate the women and once they did they did discover that terrain was very slippery and very dangerous for the women and for the fire crews. This is when they decided to air lift the women off the mountain. Initially we took one person off on the screamer suit and we came and dropped her off at the landing zone and then went back and took the other two hikers as we burned off fuel and made room for the weight if and they were both on that second round of mountain. Once again luckily nobody was hurt during this mountain rescue and fire crews want to remind people even though the weather is cooling down, a lot of people are going to be heading up to the mountain. You still need to be just as prepared as if we are having triple digit temperatures.
