Kentucky State Police investigating as Bullitt County deputy sheriff fatally shoots person Lucas Aulbach, Louisville Courier Journal © Courtesy Police tape A deputy sheriff with the Bullitt County Sheriff s Office shot and killed an individual Saturday night, according to a news release from the agency. Deputies responded at around 11:45 p.m. to a report of a vehicle parked in the middle of the road, and during the agency s response, a Deputy Sheriff discharged his weapon, striking the operator of the vehicle,  according to a statement from Col. Marcus Laytham, chief deputy with BCSO. Bullitt County Emergency Medical Services personnel came to the scene, in the 1600 block of Cedar Creek Road just south of the Interstate 265 loop, but were unable to save the individual who had been shot. That person, who has not been identified, was declared dead at the scene.
