The crew aboard a train passing through Westchester County, New York, was lauded by officials for spotting and rescuing an autistic 3-year-old on Metro-North tracks near Tarrytown.
“There’s a little kid ahead of you guys,” Metro North train operator William Kennedy radioed another train nearby. “Just keep an eye out I don’t know, he just popped out.”
Engineer William Kennedy, who was operating a southbound train on April 6, was the first to spot the boy on Metro-North Railroad tracks near Tarrytown.
