Eastate agents and mortgage advisors have welcomed the extension to the stamp duty holiday and a mortgage guarantee scheme set out by the Government in the 2021 budget, with hopes that there could be a property boom.
As part of Chancellor Rishi Sunak s budget, which was unveiled the House of Commons yesterday (Wednesday), the stamp duty holiday has been extended and a Government guarantee scheme will see 95 per cent mortgages brought back, allowing buyers to use a five per cent deposit when buying properties up to the value of £600,000.
