LE MARS The Le Mars Community football team had a nice turnaround season in their first year with Head Coach Ken Vigdal in 2021. After winning just one game in 2020, Le Mars finished with four wins.

• Jade Elise Kapayou, 33, was arrested Saturday for first-offense possession of a schedule I controlled substance.
• Michael James Downs, 68, was arrested Saturday on a warrant.
• Preston James Phipps, 33, was arrested Friday on a warrant.
• Joshua David Hoglan, 36, was arrested Sunday for possession of drug paraphernalia and first-offense possession of a controlled substance marijuana.
• Jamie Lynn Alley, 34, was arrested Sunday for first offense domestic abuse assault injury or mental illness.
• Zane Aaron Dolash, 40, was arrested Sunday for prohibited fireworks use.

• The Embers Retirement Community reported fourth-degree criminal mischief, striking fixtures on W. State Street on Friday.
