City of Daytona Beach to discuss disruptive truck event not returning next year article
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Mayor of Daytona Beach expressed on Sunday that he would not like the Daytona Truck Meet to return next year.
Daytona Beach Mayor Derrick Henry called on the Daytona Truck Meet to end, stating that the event is too disruptive.
The City will speak about the future of this event in a commission meeting this week.

Beach driving is a staple along Volusia County s coast, but some recently erected poles are posing some new obstacles behind the Hard Rock Hotel in Daytona Beach.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Poles blocking off a stretch of Daytona Beach are once again causing controversy.
They are lined up behind the Hard Rock Hotel off of State Road A1A, installed after the county passed an ordinance that allowed resorts to block off stretches of beach as long as certain criteria were met.
