Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, AFP Chief of Staff, said Monday, July 12, that the latest fatalities to be identified were Privates First Class Carlos Dapanas Jr., Keth Kane Alegarme, Marchi Bonzales, and Philip Dante Camilosa; Corporal Jay-ar Obenita; Privates Archie Barba and Carlos Jhun Paragua Jr.; and Technical Sergeant Nelson Hadjiri.
All of them were Philippine Army personnel who were supposed to be deployed for counter-terrorism operations in Sulu.
Sobejana said the military has already informed all of the families about the status of the recently identified soldiers.
