If you were at Cheyenne Frontier Days over the past weekend, you know just how amazing the past weekend has been! And judging by how much love Cheyenne was shown on social media over the first few days since the start of the festival, plenty of people definitely took notice.
While we still have a long way to go through the rest of this week until the end of the festival, people are going out of their way to show how much of a blast they have been having at Cheyenne Frontier Days so far. The Daddy Of Em All is doing its usual thing and then some to this point. From the opening dedication of the new Chris LeDoux statue to the monumental return of Garth Brooks fantastic show to the parade over the weekend, it s been a whirlwind of events for everyone that s been in and around the capitol city the past few days.

Chad Muma was named to the prestigious Butkus Award Watch List on Monday. The Butkus Award honors the nation’s best linebackers in the nation.
It kicked off its 37th annual selection process Monday by announcing its collegiate and high school preseason watch lists.

Each watch list contains 51 linebackers, mirroring the legendary “51” pro jersey associated with the Award’s namesake
Man Charged With Aggravated Assault in Cheyenne Stabbing
A 41-year-old transient has been charged with multiple felonies after allegedly stabbing another transient and sending him to the hospital.
Robert Requejo, Jr. was charged Monday in Laramie County Circuit Court with four counts of aggravated assault and battery with a deadly weapon and one count of habitual criminal.
Requejo was arrested shortly after 9:30 a.m. Saturday, July 24, after Cheyenne police responding to a report of a stabbing around the 1600 block of Snyder Avenue found 26-year-old Jesse Flores with multiple stab wounds and Requejo still at the scene.
Flores was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center in serious condition, but as of Monday afternoon his condition was unknown.
Cowgirl volleyball to host Casper outreach event Aug. 13

UW will play an intrasquad beginning at 5:30 that will last until approximately 7 p.m., after which, the Cowgirls will sign posters for fans in attendance. The event is free to the public.
Fans who can’t make it to Casper, will get their first chance to see the Cowgirls in action Aug. 21 as UW will also host its annual Brown and Gold Scrimmage at 5:30 p.m., at the UniWyo Sports Complex.
