completed. this is just the latest in a string of scandals for the u.s. secret service. there was the headline about several agents bringing prostitutes back to their hotel during a trip to colombia. then in march of last year, agents who had been drinking were sent home during a trip to the netherlands. then a man sprinted across the north lawn of the white house, actually got through the white house into the east room. let s dig deeper for this new scandal. the news about the agents allegedly getting drunk, cashing their car at the white house. just as we said the latest in a string of high profile embarrassments. so what does the agency need to do to fix this problem? joining us now, elijah cummings. he s the ranking democrat on that committee. congressman, thanks very much for joining us. what s going on at the u.s. secret service? this is the agency that s
kirsten about a private conservative group in hollywood says they re being targeted by the irs. democratic senator chuck schumer says he wants the irs to step up and do more investigation into the tea party groups and others. and you know, for a lot of folks out there risk looking like the irs is a political tool of this administration. do you think that s a legitimate criticism and would it be worthwhile for the president who was so outraged by his own speech that he gave in march of last year about the irs targeting, key benefit by saying yeah, i m taking action and we re going to move forward? well, if he was actually taking action, doing something specific. but i m not sure that anything is really happening on that front that would rise to the level of mentioning in a state of the union address. you know, i think what chuck schumer did really was sort of outside the bounds of what a member of the senate should be doing, especially in light the fact that the irs has been caught. y

last week s monster typhoons. people are still showing up at the airport as they try to catch a flight to another near by island. the storm tore through the country more than a week ago. bill: a new report showing the obama administration knew about the problems with the website months before the launch in october. possibly as early as april. though this will be brought up in a hearing on the hill. in that hearing will be louisiana congressman steve selise. concerns were raised in march of last year. what do you know about this? we are all seeing the debacle of not just the website but all of the other problems related to people losing policies. a lot of things we predicted years ago. the president said we were wrong when we were making these predictions.
