Samsung is rolling out an update to fix the Galaxy S22's throttling – Phandroid

Over the past week or so, Samsung has been in hot water as it was discovered the company implemented a tool that essentially throttled the performance of thousands of apps. The tool in question is called the Game Optimization Service (GOS), but is not user-accessible and currently, there is no way for users to turn this feature on or off. In response, Geekbench ended up de-listing several of Samsung's phones due to "benchmark manipulation". Samsung responded to these claims and promised to provide the user with more control over GOS, but it was unclear as to when the update would arrive for the Galaxy S22. As it turns out, Samsung moved pretty quickly, as an update is already rolling out to Galaxy S22 owners in the company's home country of South Korea (via XDA).
