Robert “Bob” C. Ianni Jr., 64, died peacefully in the loving presence of his family in his boyhood home. He was surrounded by his wife, children and his mother.
A POP-UP fish and chip shop has opened at a pub in Altham. The new take-away is operating from the Walton pub while they have to remain closed due to Covid-19 restrictions. The food pub, which is operated by Duffy s Pub Company, had to close for the November lockdown and hasn t been able to re-open since. Managing Director Marc Duffy said: We couldn t keep sitting with the door closed - we had to open and do something. It was not only to get us back doing something but we need that cash flow to come in again. The Walton, which Marc has ran for nearly five years, is the only pub in Altham and is located on the main road through the village.
