A GOUROCK man has been charged with assaulting two police officers to injury after allegedly bombarding his ex-partner with unwanted phone messages. Marc Cox, 44, is accused of struggling violently with the male PCs who had gone to his Cardwell Road home to arrest him. Prosecutors say he repeatedly kicked one officer and lashed out with his arms towards another during the alleged incident on February 8. Cox is also charged with persistently sending text messages and voicemails to his ex as well as repeatedly making phone calls to her. The Crown say he did this for the purpose of causing annoyance, inconvenience or needlessly anxiety .
Roy Blunt Joins 4 GOP Senators Not Seeking Reelection, but Could Democrats Flip Seat?

After more than a decade in office, GOP Senator Roy Blunt will not return to Washington, D.C., after his term is up in 2022, giving Democrats a better chance of flipping the seat, although it will likely be a hard-fought battle.
Blunt joins a growing number of Republicans who have announced that they won t seek reelection. The fourth Senate Republican to make the decision, he s the ranking GOP member on the Senate Rules Committee, and in Missouri, a state that voted for former President Donald Trump in November by more than 15 points, the 2022 race could be favorable to a Republican candidate.

Facts (and non-facts) are flying fast and furious following the events of last Wednesday. Some are verifiable (via video and photos), some are verifiably wrong, and some remain subject to interpretation.
And don’t you worry, every politician, pundit, and partisan is sparing no effort to glom onto and spin whichever facts best suit their narrative (and help solidify their power.)
I’ve already given my initial take on the situation. I have additional thoughts, of course, but I heard a firsthand account from a fellow Missourian who was in attendance at the rally, and later, near enough to the Capitol to observe a lot of what went down in the early moments of the chaos there. And rather than give you more of my own take on things (which undoubtedly is colored by the many layers through which the information has made its way to me), I thought it would be worthwhile to simply share this man’s story.
