Ocala landlord who shot tenant can t claim stand your ground The court finds no credible evidence to corroborate or substantiate the Defendant s claim that the alleged victim was ever armed or acted aggressively toward him, Circuit Judge Anthony Tatti wrote in his ruling.
Last month, during a hearing, a doctor from the Medical Examiner s Office testified that the victim, Marc Bruss, had six entry wounds and six exit wounds. Bruss, 49, died as a result of the gunshots.
The judge noted that a witness, Christopher Hofacker, was on the property at the time the shots were fired. This witness did not hear any angry exchange between the victim and the Defendant, Tatti wrote.
